A few days ago ended the entire Fashion Week and all of that you could follow on @TheFashionSpell instagram. Now you can read an experience by Daphne Blunt, young fashion blogger from California, who attended New York Fashion Week and agreed to give an interview for TFS. Fashion shows she liked the most, moment she will always remember, her style, why she launched her blog To Style, With Love and so much more! Enjoy!

1. Can you first tell me something about yourself?
My name is Daphne Blunt and I live in Los Angeles, California.  I started my blog in October of 2014 right around my 17th birthday.  I had wanted to start a blog for over a year before that as I had become utterly obsessed with street style and personal style bloggers such as The Blonde Salad, Man Repeller and FashionToast to name a few.  I finally bit my lip and took the leap to launch To Style, With Love. If you want in on the secret behind the name… it’s a play on words referencing To Sir, With Love the beloved 1967 classic by Lulu.  In a nutshell I am an old soul with a shopping addiction and a passport stamp collection and one too many pairs of shoes.  The reason I started my blog was simply to express the passion I feel with all things fashion and a few other curiosities too.

2. So, Daphne, you were at New York Fashion Week, right? Is this your first time to attend?
Yes!  This was my first time officially being invited to New York Fashion Week and being an invitee on my own.  I could not have been more excited to get to attend industry events with like minded people all joining together over one of the most beautiful artforms.  I had been to a few shows in the past, just attending with my mother for fun because we have both always shared such a passion for all things to do with style and fashion.

3. How was the experience? Which moment you'll always remember?
It was such an amazing experience!  I mean honestly riveting and so exciting, if you're like me and you just adore fashion, if you're not so in to it you might finding sitting at 10 runway shows in a day boring but for me it was like being a little kid at Disneyland.  The moment that I will always remember was actually right before my first show when a streetstyle photographer came up and asked to take a photo of me.  From just him photographing me other photographers started to gather around and take pictures of me left and right.  I was so excited, I had dreamed of being photographed by literally maybe 1 streetstyle photographer at NYFW so I was over the moon to get such attention the first time around.

4. Which fashion shows you liked the most and is there any piece that caught your eye?
Out of the shows that I personally attended my favorites were probably Alice + Olivia, Noon By Noor, Custo Barcelona and Libertine.  This is mainly based of my own personal style and interests but there really weren't any shows that I saw that I did not like.  In every show you could see the time, love and detail put into each collection, you have to remember that you looking at someone's heart and soul!  There was a really amazing and completely rhinestoned, embroidered, the works cape at the Libertine show I was obsessed with that.  I also loved some of the furs at Noon By Noor that they had done in collaboration with Kopenhagen Fur and I can't forget the gorgeous leather jacket with Loving You painted on to the back at Alice + Olivia.

5. During the fashion week, the most important thing to bloggers are their outfits because the streets become their catwalk. On which outfit you are the most proud of for wearing and how would you describe your style?
Oh this is tough, I spent so much time trying to plan out my outfits and make sure I was really happy with everything I brought with me to New York but almost all of my looks ended up getting changed a little bit in the heat of the moment in NYC whether adjusting to the weather or just deciding that something wasn't quite right for that day or my mood.  My favorite look I wore was a Miu Miu dress with rhinestone embroidery on the front, I paired it with Miu Miu pink glitter cat eye shades, a red prada crossbody bag and knee high python boots.  The look was eccentric and defined but it worked!  I felt like a true Miu Miu Princess in it.

6. Can you tell us how is possible to get an invitation?
The process of getting an invitation is not as hard as you think but it will take a lot of time and dedication.  It's all about using your connections and also forming new ones!  Go ahead and reach out to brands and PR agencies that you have a relationship with to see if they have anything going on for the upcoming fashion week and let them know that you would be delighted to attend if possible.  Just be straight forward, let brands know how they can benefit from you attending their event (such as coverage on your blog and other social media outlets) and obviously be courteous and polite.  Just wait and see, I bet you'll get a better response than you expect!

7. Do we will have a chance to see you there next year?
Yes of course!  There are only bigger and better things to come in the upcoming year for me and my blog!  I have a lot of exciting projects coming up including new collaborations and the launch of an official To Style, With Love app!  So you will definitely see me doing more and more next year at fashion week!

8. And for the end, do you have any tips for future bloggers who want to experience fashion week's magic?
I say just be a go getter and commit yourself to your goals!  Do everything you have to to get to where you want to me.  That's what I've done and so far it is working out magically.  xx

Thanks Daphne for the interview! Don't forget to visit her blog and instagram because she is a real inspiration!
